North York
Ian and Hannelore Bullock
This garden situated within walking
distance of Yonge Street can best be described as an eclectic
demonstration of how two gardeners with very different tastes
have managed to create a space that respects both their visions.
It is a continually evolving celebration of old garden favourites
and a native plant garden that encourages birds and butterflies
alike. Buttercups; Queen Anne's Lace, and Golden Rod flourish
happily alongside Roses, Peonies and a riot of annuals.
The Canadian Garden Museum must note only one unresolved issue:
snails! Hannelore the native gardener adores them; Ian, the
traditionalist, wants them run out of town.
