Severn Township
Acton Rinaldo Family

When raising a blended family of four youngsters, all under five years of age, it's rather difficult to design or even build a garden.

The solution for parents Richard and Molly was surprisingly easy. Purchase a log cabin deep in the country with a hundred acres, and let Mother Nature do all the work.

And what an awesome job she did! Their property is breathtaking, boasting lichen fields atop enormous glacier rocks, field after field of wild asters, swamp areas that house endangered plant species, and glorious wooded areas alive with mature oaks, pine, spruce, birch and maples.

So what do the kids think about this garden? You'll have to ask their pet toads Toons, Warts, and Squeaky, or talk to them while they're climbing up an old tree.
